Problem Context

Apollo is a technology-led audience insights company that provides direction to its partners on creative, media, messaging and communication strategy. Its vision was to develop a Consumer Data Platform (CDP) that generates customer behavior insights and provides niche customer personas. Apollo had limited capabilities of automating their existing infrastructure, reducing the costs and time to market.

Solution

Quantiphi helped Apollo create a fully managed, cost-efficient and secure Customer Data Platform (CDP) with an automated end-to-end pipeline capable of processing terabytes of data daily and providing consumer behavioral insights within minutes. 

Quantiphi also developed a self-service, scalable web application that allows Apollo to isolate consumer groups based on known key characteristics and generate visualizations on consumer behavior such as demographics, application usage, purchase behavior, geolocation, and media consumed in near real time. This enabled the client to have a scalable, robust, and hyper-personalized CDP that allows easy integration with multiple functionalities and enables the incremental release of workflow.

Result

  • Enabled a 60 percent reduction in monthly spend through monitoring costs by tagging Glue resources, creating Athena workgroups, scheduling Amazon CloudWatch alarms, setting up IAM roles & policies and applying lifecycle policies to S3 buckets
  • Reduced the time to market by using managed services such as AWS Lambda, optimizing AWS Glue scripts, leveraging CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and incremental release of workflow
  • Ensured that the data of each user is highly secure and encrypted
  • Ensured automation and zero downtime deployment when developing data pipelines and CI/CD pipelines
